Former South Lions Kicker Dillon Wamsley is off to a brilliant start in the OUA. The Queen’s freshman has won the Special Teams Player of the Week in each of the season’s first two weeks. Wamsley is a perfect 7-7 on field goals, and owns the third highest punting average.

The Canada Cup football series continues at TD Waterhouse Stadium this week, with the Championship game set for Saturday. The tournament has pitted the best players under the age of 18 from across the country playing for their respective provinces.
Players and coaches have had to endure extreme heat while practicing this week. Team New Brunswick was shut out against Quebec, but the squad remains upbeat because this is the first time the province has competed in the tournament in over a decade.
