The Lightning had a chance for the weekend sweep hosting the Jazz at Bud Gardens.

School gyms and arenas remain empty on day two of the TVRA extra-curricular lockout. The London Lightning gave some students a bit of a pick me up though, by bringing practice to their high school. Brent Lale has the story.

In its second season, the National Basketball League of Canada is still establishing itself. Players are starting to believe in the league, and more and more are coming home. The Lightning just convinced one of Canada’s all time great university players to leave Europe and join the NBL.

Opening weekend was an emotional rollercoaster for the Windsor Express. A win in front of an excited crowd in the opener, gave way to a loss in front of a disappointing 500 fans. The constant in both games, sub par activity at the free throw line. Bob Bellacicco has the story.
