OFFICIAL STATEMENT

This weekend’s scheduled mixed martial arts event at the Agri-Plex is off. The following is a statement from Global Warriors Promoter Garnet Ace.

Please be advised that the Global Warriors 2: Halloween Havoc event scheduled for October 29th at the Agriplex-Western Fair District in London, Ontario is being postponed until the first available date to be determined by the Ontario Athletics Commission.

The postponement is a direct result of the unfortunate withdrawal of the main event fighter – Jeff Lentz – who was meant to compete against London’s Jesse Ronson. With such short notice it would be impossible to properly repair this bout so a decision was made by myself Garnet Ace to delay by a few weeks to deliver on my promise of a great London-centric show.

“London fighters and fans around the sport deserve the best show I can offer, as a result, its best to postpone the show, rather than go on with a less than stellar Production. I am looking into a remake date in November, 2011. This of course would pend on OAC approval, but I have 2 available dates. A change in venue may be in order, but the Event would still be in London.”

Tickets purchased for October 29th can be returned for refund at point of purchase or if fans can wait for the new date they can be exchanged and upgraded, in honour of their loyalty.

I would also like to say, ” this decision was made by myself , and in no way the Adrenaline Training Center. I am going to be very aggressive in my repair of this decision. The athletes involved and the people working diligantly behind the scene’s have done a fantastic job preparing for this card. I appreciate all the efforts, and that is why I am exhausting all possibilities to ensure this card can remain in London, showcasing the Cities many explosive Talents.

My sincere apologies to the athletes, the fans, the sponsors, and the City of London.

Garnet Ace
Global Warriors Promoter

October 29th is a huge day for Adrenaline Training Centre. While some of the club’s high profile members will be in Las Vegas to launch the Shawn Tompkins Memorial Fund, others from the gym will remain in London, in hopes of launching their MMA careers. Brent Lale has the story.
