The Maple Leafs Alumni made a stop at the East Elgin Complex for a charity game against the Aylmer Police. Names like Bill Derlago, Tom Fergus, Gary Leeman and Mark Osborne were playing and a couple of them shared their thoughts on the NHL Lockout which has reached Day 71.

KADRI CUT OFF

Leafs’ coach, Dallas Eakins has informed /A\ News that London native Nazem Kadri will no longer take part in media interviews for the duration of the rookie tournament. When asked about the hip injury that kept him out of action against the Penguins Sunday night, Kadri said, “I’ll be fine”.
LIAMBAS TO JOIN LEAFS

Disgraced OHL’er, Michael Liambas has been invited to tryout for the Maple Leafs. The 21-year-old former member of the Erie Otters was suspended last year, his final season in the OHL, for a reckless body check on Kitchener’s Ben Fanelli. The Rangers’ rookie blueliner spent a week in hospital with a fractured skull as a result of the hit. Liambas is coming off a stint in the IHL with the Bloomington Praire Thunder.
