In its second season, the National Basketball League of Canada is still establishing itself. Players are starting to believe in the league, and more and more are coming home. The Lightning just convinced one of Canada’s all time great university players to leave Europe and join the NBL.

The undefeated London Lightning are home to St. John Thursday, and Halifax Sunday. Both teams should be weary of Bolts’ forward Jeremy Williams. In his first year he’s averaging just under 13 points per game and can dunk with the best of them. The Memphis native dropped by the CTV Studios to chat with Sports Editor Norman James.

A major reason for the Lightning success is the depth of their bench. The backup Point Guard and Centre have a chemistry which helps keep the offence coming when the starters take a break.
